Razorback is a guitar usually associated with the late Dimebag Darrell. And with a strong reason. Dime designed it and it was a concept which was supposed to replace the ML guitars he played throughout his career. But, due to his untimely death, this project never came into realization. Nonetheless, Dean began making Razorback models as a tribute to the late legend and the series is running strong even a decade after his death. But, apart from the tribute series, there aren`t many Razorbacks in the Dean catalog. One of the very few non-tribute models is the awesome Razorback 7 255. Seven is for the number of strings, while the 255 indicates the length of the scale (25-1/2"). Other than that, the new Razorback features a beveled body made entirely of mahogany, set mahogany neck (V profile), EMG`s raging 707 pickups with the standard Razorback controls, a 24-fret fingerboard made of rosewood (courtesy of the extra 3/4" of the scale length) and a set of seven Grover tuning machines. The retail price for this masterpiece is set at $1,249.
