SG started out as a replacement model to the Les Paul back in the early '60s and went on to become an icon in it`s own right. Revolutionary design and construction solutions helped this model achieve legendary status, primarily among the players of then-emerging hard rock scene. Today, SG is made by Gibson and Epiphone, though almost every major brand has SG-like models in their catalog. G-400 Pro comes as one of Epiphone`s variants of the SG and it is a brand new model. Classic SG body with devil`s horns double cutaway is equipped with set-in joint for the neck. Cherry and Ebony are color options available for this model. They are matched with nickel hardware. Mahogany body is traditionally slim and features beveled edges. Classic black pickguard is installed on both color options. Bridge section is made up of a Locktone tune-o-matic bridge and Locktone stoptail bar. Pickups on this model are Epiphone Alnico Classic PRO humbuckers in both the bridge and neck positions. Controls include split volume and tone knobs with three-way toggle switch. Neck is made of mahogany and it sports a slim taper D contour. It is topped with a rosewood fingerboard. 22 frets, trapezoid inlays, 12" radius and 1.68" string nut complete the fingerboard. Scale is 24-3/4" long and tuners are Wilkinson.
