Gibson`s Les Paul Custom was introduced back in 1954 as "The Tuxedo Guitar". Originally, it was available only in Ebony with gold-plated hardware and creme binding. It also had single-coil P90 pickups.
The current Epiphone Les Paul Custom PRO comes in traditional Ebony with multi-ply binding and gold-plated hardware, just like the original. Under the hood, there`s a solid (non-chambered) mahogany body with a thin maple veneer on top. The neck is made of mahogany, has a slim taper D profile (a feature adopted in the 60s), and is topped with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard.
Epiphone`s ProBucker 3 (bridge) and ProBucker 2 (neck) pickups come tricked out with coil-splitting and phase change options (phase change only in middle position). Two-piece bridge and Grover Rotomatic tuners complete the impressive specs list.
