Les Paul Ultra series combines the classic Les Paul features with modern electronics and color options. The advanced electronics unit is the centerpiece of each Ultra model, with Ultra III being no exception. Besides the conventional humbucking pickups (Ultra III has two of those - Pro-Buckers), Ultra III also has a NanoMag Shadow humbucker behind the 22nd fret. Standard controls unit in the front is accompanied by NanoMag controls and a tuner in the back. Ultra III has a regular 1/4" mono jack, 1/4" stereo jack, and a USB port for connection with a computer. Available color options include Midnight Ebony, Midnight Sapphire, Vintage Sunburst, Faded Cherry Burst, and Black Cherry. Other notable features include a solid mahogany body base, flamed maple top, set-in mahogany neck, 22-fret pau ferro fingerboard, two-piece bridge, and Grover tuners.
