Zakk Wylde is one of the most prominent players of Les Paul guitars at the moment. He and his Black Label Society have built quite a reputation on riffs and melodies Zakk created on his LPs. Thus, the Gibson and Epiphone decided to honor him with a signature series, which stretches from Gibson Custom to Epiphone. This one is an Epiphone Zakk Wylde Les Paul Custom Bullseye. It has a solid, single-cut mahogany body with carved and bound maple top. Bullseye pattern sits against the creme background. Bridge section is the standard one, it has tune-o-matic bridge paired with stoptail bar in the back. Passive EMG HZ series humbuckers are installed on this one. Set maple neck has speedtaper contour and it`s topped with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard.

I absolutely loved this guitar. Unfortunately I had to unload it. The fit and finish was top notch. The guitar was well worth the price. The antique white finish, headstock inlay, black bullseye, gold hardware and brass truss rod cover are a perfect combo. Zakk knows what works! The fretwork was superb. The unfinished neck was thick but smooth and fast. I had EMG HZs in mine. Nice pickups but not active. I plan on owning this guitar again. I will more than likely purchase the "Pro" version with the EMG 85/81s and ebony fretboard.
