What is known as Horizon in the ESP catalog, is called H in the LTD range. The H series offers modern Soloist guitars with fancy carved tops, set thru/neck-thru construction options, a wide range of both passive and active electronics options, and much more. At 2016 NAMM, ESP has introduced only one model into the LTD H series lineup - the mighty H-401QM. It is a blue-clad (the official name of the color scheme is Faded Sky Blue) six-string with a quilt maple top, active pickups, bound 24-fret fingerboard and set-thru construction.
H-401QM has a standard H series chassis, comprising of a solid mahogany body with a quilt maple top and a set-thru maple neck. Quilt top is bound in fancy white binding (fingerboard and headstock are also bound) and equipped with classic Horizon contour. Maple neck is a three-piece with standard Thin U profile in the back and a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard on top (1.65: molded nut, thumbnail inlays, 13.7" radius.
EMG 81 and 85 are teamed up once again, with 81 taking the bridge position and 85 taking the neck. master volume, master tone and a three-position blade switch comprise their controls unit. String-thru hardtail bridge and Grover tuners complete the specs list.
