JH-600EC is based upon the Jeff Hanneman EC model and represents it`s budget variant. These two are first single cutaway signatures for Jeff after a long line of soloist shaped models. JH-600EC was introduced at the NAMM Show this year along with other ESP and LTD novelties. JH-600EC kicks off with a solid, single cutaway body made of alder. The top is carved, although there is no top wood. White binding contrasts the black gloss color of the body. Pickguards are omitted from the features list for this model. Bridge section is occupied by a Kahler locking tremolo with black plating. For past thirty years Kahler bridges represent the only viable alternative and competition to Floyd Rose concept of locking bridges. In the pickup compartment two active EMG pickups can be found. Namely, EMG81 in the bridge and EMG85 in the neck position. Master volume, master tone and three-way toggle switch comprise the controls section. The neck is made of maple and is given ultra thin U contour with neck-through-body construction. The fingerboard is made of ebony and equipped with 24 extra jumbo sized frets. Inverted pentagram inlays and 1.61" wide locking nut complete the fingerboard specs.
