Stephen Carpenter`s signature series in ESP/LTD catalog is one of the biggest and most diverse, as it includes six, seven and eight-string models. Just like the Deftones catalog, Stephen`s signature series chronicles his journey from the standard six-string used on first couple of albums to the eight-stringed guitar which was used for the most recent Deftones albums. LTD SC-207 relates to the albums recorded in the middle period in which Stephen played a seven-stringer. This is a standard 200 signature model which means it kicks off with a basswood body, bolt-on maple neck and LTD hardware and electronics. Solid and double-cut body of this model features an elegantly carved top, as well as a deep lower cutaway. Fixed tune-o-matic bridge is alone in the bridge section and strings run straight through the body behind it. Pickups department is fit with the standard ESP Designed LH-307 humbuckers (seven-string siblings of the LH-301 pickups). Master volume, master tone and a three-position switch complete the series standard controls unit. Thin and fast neck is topped with a bound 24-fret fingerboard with a custom 24th fret inlay and 1.89" wide molded nut. Seven chrome-plated LTD tuners grace the headstock.
