V is the absolute king of metal guitars. Ask anyone and the pretty much unanimous answer will be - V. Ever since the 1950s and the introduction of the original Flying V, V-shaped guitars stood out as the wildest, edgiest most rebellious guitars out there. Like the majority of major guitar brands, ESP has embraced the V and made it a part of its identity. Classic V series stretches all the way from the LTD to ESP original tiers and for 2016, V-401 will be its only update in the LTD range. V-401 features active electronics, standard 25-1/2" scale and set-thru construction.
V-401 rocks a symmetrical V body with pointy tips, much like the Jackson King V. Mahogany is used for the body, while the maple is used for the three-piece neck. Set-thru neck is covered with a 24-fret fingerboard made of rosewood (dot inlays, custom 12th fret inlay, binding around the edges, 1.65" molded nut).
Pickups department features one of the most ferocious combos available on the market - the sinister EMG 81/81 set. Two volume knobs, one tone and a three-way toggle switch comprise the controls. String-through tune-o-matic bridge and Grover tuners complete the list of major features.
