Select series from Fender is an impressive line of some of the most exquisite guitars produced in the world. All of the models introduced in this series are closer to the Fender Custom Shop level of quality than pretty much anything else. This series got infused with six new models for 2013 and the first one on the list is the gorgeous Carved Maple Top Jazzmaster. This one comes with a set of predominantly modern appointments and features. Pickups combo is installed in H/H pattern and it brings a pair from the Wide Range series of pickups. These are active and feature a simple controls unit, which consists of master volume, master tone and a three-way toggle pickup switch. Bridge section behind them is made up of slanted adjust-o-matic bridge and stoptail bar in the back. Both components are plated in chrome, as is the rest of the hardware. Body of this Jazzmaster is chambered and made of alder base with flamed maple top. Top is carved, bound in creme and finished in high gloss. Maple neck has a modern thick C contour in the back and a 21-fret rosewood fingerboard on top. Fingerboard is equipped with medium jumbo frets, block inlays, compound 9.5"-14" radius and 1.685" wide synthetic bone nut.
