American Original series is the latest major addition to Fender`s American range. It is a vintage-oriented series, made up of both electric guitars and electric basses. The initial lineup contains 14 models - 10 guitars and 4 basses. Some of the main characteristics include period correct features for all models, as well as vintage color options. American Original `60s Stratocaster is one of ten six-stringers introduced with the original lineup. It comes in Candy Apple Red, 3-Color Sunburst, and Olympic White. Main construction features include a solid alder body (flat, mint green pickguard), a maple neck (thick C profile, bolt-on construction), a 21-fret rosewood fingerboard (vintage tall frets, 1.65" nut, 25.5" scale, 9.5" radius), a 6-saddle synchronized tremolo bridge, Pure Vintage 65 pickups, and vintage Fender tuners.
