It`s 1965 all over again and it`s the first full production year for the Mustang. It`s envisioned as student model, a guitar on which beginners would learn to play and move on. But, as it usually happens, fate had something else in store for this model. Almost fifty years after, it is still a very popular and beloved model and Fender releases the reissue of the original Mustang. It comes with a solid, double cut body made of poplar, which is paired with a bolted maple neck. Bridge section features a floating tremolo with adjust-o-matic bridge in front. A pair of slanted single coil pickups is installed n front. Maple neck has C contour in the back and 22-fret rosewood fingerboard on the top.

I've been wanting a Mustang since I was in my teens and now in my mid 30s I finally own one . I love it . Pretty versatile guitar right off the line . Bridge and neck with a 3 way switch for each pick up does give options . Great Fender chime and plays great when the channels are dirty . I will admit if you are one of those that is used to playing guitars with hot humbuckers for punk/metal/hardcore stuff you'll most likely hate this guitar. However it's fixable with some stacked humbuckers .....Great guitar with excellent build quality with a timeless style . Very well built .
