In Fender`s dictionary Thinline marks a semi-hollow bodied guitar with the regular body thickness. In 1968 Telecaster received the Thinline treatment in order to lighten the ash body. Today, '69 Telecaster Thinline is made with mahogany body and maple neck. Body is semi-hollow, equipped with an "f" hole and flat on both the back and top sides. Bridge section on this model is equipped with a classic Tele bridge with three saddles, string-through construction and chrome plating. In it`s front Fender installs a pair of passive single coil pickups. Bridge pickup is slanted and encompassed with the tray. Neck on this model is made of maple, it`s equipped with U contour, bolt-on joint and gloss finish. 21-fret maple fingerboard is on it`s top.
