Limited Edition American Special Stratocaster is based on the 60th Anniversary American Special Stratocaster released in 2014. Pracitically, these two are identical, save for some of the cosmetics and appearance. Whereas the original 2014 model came in a variety of color options and finishes, 2015 Limited Edition Strat comes solely in black. Not just in black, but with black pickguard with white trimming, black pickups covers, black tremolo arm cap and black pots, as well. Other than that, this is the 2014 60th Anniversary American Special Strat. Refreshed, revamped and back in black. Solid and double-cut alder body rocks the contemporary standard Strat contour and is paired with a standard maple neck through a bolt-on joint. Bridge section is reserved for the modern 2-point synchronized trem bridge with strings running all the way through to the back of the body. Trio of Texas Special single-coils provides the essence of the classic Strat twang and single-coil buzz millions of players around the world love and revere. This limited edition model also features the Greasebucket tone circuit for those who like their Strat stake fat and juicy. 22-fret maple fingerboard with black dot inlays and 1.65" synthetic bone nut is a regular feature of the American Special series (usually, it is offered along with the rosewood option, but not this time). Sealed tuners on the headstock complete the specs list.
