The Player series is Fender`s most recent addition to the affordable section of the catalog. The main aim is to reinforce the brand`s presence and status in the middle class. Along with the modern pickups and refreshed design, six-stringed Player models have received the 22nd fret as a standard feature. Player Stratocaster� Plus Top is one of six available Strats; it offers a solid and double-cut alder body (flame maple top, 3-ply pickguard), bolt-on neck joint, Player Series electronics (three Alnico 5 Strat Single-Coil pickups), and nickel/chrome hardware. Aged Cherry Burst and Tobacco Burst options comprise the color palette. Other notable features include a maple neck (modern C profile), 22-fret fingerboard (maple or pau ferro, depends on the color option), modern tremolo bridge, and die-cast tuners.
