With the MSRP set at $879, Fender`s Standard Stratocaster HSS with Locking Tremolo is a serious player in it`s price range. It is made for players who prefer Floyd Rose bridges over non-locking tremolos. Pickups department is also upgraded when compared to regular Standard Strat, it features bridge position humbucker with single coils in middle and neck positions. Standard controls unit is featured on this model, as well. Floyd Rose bridge is paired with a locking nut on the opposite side of the 25-1/2" scale. Body of this Strat is made of alder, as it is on all other Standard series Strats. Neck is made of maple, it`s bolted to the body and equipped with a standard C contour. It`s topped with a 21-fret rosewood fingerboard.
