Fender`s Standard series is the basic line of the catalog and it offers the affordable variants of the American Standard line. Instead of American Standard`s 22-fret guitars, regular Standard series guitars have 21 frets. Also, models from the Standard series are a lot more affordable. There`s as multitude of guitars and basses within the ranks of this series, with the largest part of the roster being divided between Stratocaster, Telecaster, Precision Bass and Jazz Bass. For 2013, Fender introduces a pair of interesting Standard series models, the Standard Stratocaster Swirl and Standard Telecaster Swirl. Standard Tele Swirl is not much different from the other Standard series Teles. The only big difference is the color choice. This one has the unique Swirl pattern painted over the body. Solid and single-cut body of this model is made of alder. It is flat on top and features the standard set of pickups and hardware. Tele bridge is plated in chrome and has string-through construction. Standard series Tele pickups are installed in the S/S pattern. Maple neck has the regular C contour and is topped with a 21-fret maple fingerboard. Black dot inlays, medium jumbo-sized frets and 1.65" synthetic bone nut complete the fingerboard.
