Fernandes` Monterey series is made for all the LP lovers out there with a taste in heavy music. It is competing against ESP`s Eclipse and heavier models of Ibanez Artist range. The Buccaneer JP is a luxurious guitar with simple looks and a killer tone. And it plays like a dream, too. It comes with a solid and single-cut body made of mahogany and a bolt-on neck made of maple (a bit unusual choice of the neck joint for an LP-styled guitar). The neck is topped with a 24-fret fingerboard made of rosewood (25-1/2" scale, 1-11/16" TUSQ nut). The pickups section is equipped with the ubiquitous EMG 81, quite possibly the world`s greatest active bridge pickup. Classic two-piece bridge unit and die-cast Gotoh tuners complete the specs list.
