Black Label opens the Fret King catalog with a host of somewhat affordable guitars and basses (compared to the rest of the catalog, Black Label models are more than wallet-friendly). Among them, several Esprit models can be found. Black Label Esprit III kicks off with a solid and flat body, styled in the vein of some of the most popular late `50s and early `60s offset-bodied guitars (Explorer, Firebird, Jazzmaster). Agathis is used for the body and maple for the neck. The neck is topped with a standard 22-fret rosewood fingerboard (medium jumbo frets, dot inlays, graphite nut). Pickups combo includes a trio of Fret-King P90 pickups for that vintage `60s tone, as well as modern blues & rock. Roller bridge with vibrato tailpiece and Wilkinson tuners keeps the tuning and intonation in check.
