Chris Cornell is one of the most prolific and popular frontmen of the alternative rock scene. For past three decades, through various bands and projects, Chris has showcased some of the most amazing frontman skills, four octave vocal range and some serious guitar chops. His love for the Gibson guitars has followed Chris throughout his career and today, Gibson Custom honors Mr Cornell with a signature electric guitar. It is a semi-hollow ES model named Chris Cornell ES-335. Double-cut body of this model is made of maple back and poplar top with solid maple center block. Both the top and back panels are bound in several layers of creme binding. Traditional "f" holes are carved on the top, as well. There are two color options offered for this model: Black Flat and Olive Drab Green. Black is equipped with a tune-o-matic bridge and stoptail bar, while Olive Drab Green has tune-o-matic bridge paired with Bigsby vibrato. In the front, Gibson installs a pair of Lollartron humbuckers with PAF-sized casings. Standard set on controls includes two tone knobs, two volume knobs and a three-way toggle pickup switch. Set in mahogany neck is topped with a 22-fret fingerboard made of rosewood. Grover Rotomatic tuners are installed on the headstock in 3+3 pattern. Olive Drab Green is available from $4,704, while the Flat Black is available from $4,233.
