Back in 1950`s, when television finally became a household item, musicians had great problems with their sparkly and shiny instruments being hard to watch on the monochrome TV sets. Around the middle of the decade, Gibson came up with the TV Yellow paint job, solving the problem. Flying V Mahogany TV marks another "first" in Flying V`s history, being the first one to feature TV color options. TV Yellow, TV White, TV Black Gold, and TV Black Silver make up the color palette. They all feature nitro finish, nickel hardware (TV Black has gold hardware variant) and black plastics. Core construction features include flat-top V body (made of mahogany), solid mahogany neck, 22-fret solid rosewood fingerboard, the classic TOM/Chevron bridge unit, Custombucker pickups, and single-band Kluson tuners.
