Les Paul Classic Rock Series belongs to the seven-piece series of limited edition guitars issued jointly by Gibson`s USA and Memphis divisions. It is a comparably simple and straight-forward modern Les Paul guitar with a unique blend of simplicity and powerful electronics. Solid and single-cut body of this model is made of mahogany with a modern nine-hole weight relief system and a carved maple cap on the top. Top is bound in black and is matched with black sides, back of the body and back of the neck, while itself is painted in the unique Turquoise color scheme. Entire body, headstock and the back of the neck are finished in nitrocellulose gloss. Standard Les Paul (and Gibson) bridge unit is featured on the top. Pickups department is fit with a Burstbucker 1 (alnico 2 magnets) in the neck position and Burstbucker 2 (alnico 2 magnets) in the bridge position. These two offer a wide range of tones, as they can be boosted with additional 15 db through a mini-switch which replaces the second volume knob, or they can be split into single-coils through the push/pull switch mounted onto the master volume knob. Mahogany neck is set in and features the popular slim taper contour in the back. 22-fret fingerboard on it`s top is made of rosewood. Trapezoid inlays, 12" radius, 1.695" wide nut and medium jumbo-sized frets wrap the fingerboard specs. Grover`s locking Keystone tuners are installed on the headstock. The MSRP for this model is set at $2,399.

I love the finish on this guitar. The inspiring blue looks great on black binding.
