SG Special Limited comes in Red, White and Blue colors, the colors of freedom and rock `n` roll. Radiant Red, Renault Blue and Alpine White are the names of these solid color options. All three are finished in high gloss. Also, all three options come with big black pickguards and nickel hardware. Body beneath each of these three colors is solid, double-cut and made of mahogany. Beveled edges, flat top and contoured back are standard design appointments for SG series. Tune-o-matic bridge on this model is paired with it`s standard partner, the stoptail bar. Open-coil humbuckers are installed in the front and they feature the standard Gibson controls unit. Neck is made of mahogany and it is topped with a 22-fret fingerboard made of obeche, instead of rosewood.
