Even though the Les Paul is older and arguably more famous and iconic, it is the good ol` SG Standard that holds the title of the best sold Gibson USA guitar ever. Also, it holds the title for most years in continuous production (67 and counting). 2018 SG lineup has two SG Standard HP models and this is the second iteration. SG Standard HP-II 2018 offers a solid and double-cut mahogany body w/AA-grade figured maple top, slim taper-shaped mahogany neck, 24-fret richlite fingerboard (low profile frets, 24.75" scale, trapezoid inlays), chrome hardware, locking tuning machines, and in-house electronics (57 Classic pickups, dual volume & tone pots w/four push-pull pots). Available color options include Blood Orange Fade, Cobalt Fade, Hot Pink Fade, and Mojave Fade.
