Tribal V is the sibling model of the Explorer Tribal guitar. It comes with a standard V body made of mahogany. Tribal graphic is painted over the white base color. In order to accentuate the contrast, Gibson went with black hardware for this axe. Mahogany body is flat on top and it`s stripped off all the unnecessary appointments and decorations. Bridge section is a non-standard one, as it features a Floyd Rose double-locking tremolo bridge instead of a tune-o-matic/stoptail combo. Pickups on this model are Gibson`s own 500T in the bridge position (treble position) and 496R in the neck position (rhythm position). Set in neck is made of mahogany and it features V contour in the back. 22-fret fingerboard on top is made of rosewood.
