G&L was established back in 1979 after Leo Fender left Music Man and partnered with George Fullerton and Dale Hyatt. In the 1980 G&L`s top models began production in Fullerton, Ca, where they`re made to this day. The current roster of the USA/Fullerton range consists mostly of ASAT models(`50s single-cut shape), though other classic shapes designed by Mr. Fender also appear. USA Doheny is based on the `60s offset design and is equipped with a pair of G&L P-90 pickups. Other important features include a solid, offset body (alder or swamp ash), hard rock maple neck (Modern Classic profile), 22-fret fingerboard (maple or Caribbean rosewood), Dual-Fulcrum tremolo bridge (Saddle-Lock is offered as an option), and sealed tuning machines.
