Will Ray is one of the most prominent session musicians on the scene and also one of the biggest Telecaster players in recent decades. He had a signature line with Fender during the 1990s, but has since moved to G&L Guitars. his signature model from the Tribute series is a solid, single-cut guitar with basswood body. It is flat on top and equipped with a standard bolt-on joint. Bridge section is equipped with a hardtail bridge with B-Bender installed in the back. In front of the bridge, G&L installs a set of three Z-coiled pickups. Master volume, master tone and a three-position blde switch comprise the controls unit. Bolt-on neck is topped with a standard 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with custom designed skull inlays.
