Godin is gearing up for 2012 with a multitude of new models. These models were unveiled at the NAMM Show earlier this year. There are Session models, Core Series, new lefties for the first time in Godin history, and much more. This one, Session Custom kicks off with a solid, single cutaway basswood body. The basswood used for Godin`s guitars is Canadian "Laurentian" basswood. The body features a slightly carved top with no bindings. Pickguard is black, to denote that this is a Custom, prestige model. The bridge on this model is Godin`s own Tru-Loc tremolo with string-through construction. The tremolo arm is well fixed, so it won`t flap around during the play. The pickup combo for this Custom is rarely seen, as it features a single coil pickup in the bridge and humbucker in neck position. The single coil is Godin`s own Cajun pickup. Controls section features master volume, master tone, High Definition Revoicer button and a five position blade switch. The neck is made of rock maple with a bolted joint. The fingerboard is made of maple and features 22 medium frets, black dot position inlays, 12" radius and 1-11/16" wide string nut. 25-1/2" scale and chrome plated hardware complete the specs.
