Bo Diddey was known not only for his magnificent blues prowess and characteristic voice. He played a custom-made guitar with rectangular body contour. It was, and still is one of the most desired guitars among the dedicated blues fans. Fortunately, Gretsch Guitars make the signature variant of Mr Diddley`s original guitar. It comes with a flat rectangular body made of laminated hardwood. It is solid and equipped with classic Gretsch appointments. One-piece bridge on this six-stringer is a wrap around stopbar with chrome plating. Pickups in the front are classic Filtertrons. On the solid hardwood body, such as this, Filtertrons give a slightly different tone, than on the classic hollow-bodied models. Neck on this one is bolted to the body and made of maple. Rosewood fingerboard comes with 22 frets with dot inlays.
