Malcolm Young, the atomic clock behind AC/DC`s impeccably tight groove, is being saluted with a replica of his own "Beast" guitar. Over the years, he`s played many, but not one came close to the red Gretsch Jet Firebird he received from Harry Vanda and his brother George. G6131MY-CS Custom Shop Malcolm Young Salute Jet is a faithful replica of the guitar in its current state, after decades of heavy touring and recording. It sports a solid (chambered) mahogany body, laminated maple top (natural-colored and bound in white), U-shaped mahogany neck (set-in joint) and 22-fret ebony fingerboard (22 frets + zero fret, 1.6875" nut, 24-3/5" scale, thumbnail inlays). Other major features include a TV Jones humbucker in bridge position (middle and neck position cavities are empty), Space Control bridge and Schaller tuners.
