Penguin guitars rarely visit the Gretsch Guitars catalog but when they do, it`s with style. This time, the G6134TDC-LTD15 Limited Edition Penguin Double Cutaway comes just in time for the 2016 NAMM. It brings seldom seen Broadway Jade Metallic color scheme, classic Gretsch tone and superior vintage styling. G6134TDC-LTD15 Limited Edition Penguin Double Cutaway is a solid, double-cut guitar with a chambered mahogany body with a carved maple cap on top. White binding, elevated plastic pickguard and chrome hardware grace the top. The neck is made of maple and features the Standard U profile in the back. This type of neck contour, along with a deep lower cutaway, allows complete access to the 22-fret fingerboard installed on top. The ebony fingerboard features medium jumbo frets, Neo-Classical Thumbnail inlays, 12" radius and 1-11/16" wide bone nut. Electronics unit is equipped with a pair of regular High Sensitive Filter`Tron humbuckers with chrome-plated covers. Controls unit features bridge volume, neck volume, master volume, three-way pickup selector and Gretsch`s signature three-position tone switch. Rocking bar bridge and Grover Imperial tuners keep tuning and intonation in perfect check. The price tag is set at whooping $4,539.
