Gretsch is celebrating 130 years in business, a feat of mythical proportions. Their reputation is also of the same proportions and it is constantly being justified by new models and series. Gretsch is one of the most consistent brands in terms of quality of their products. This year Gretsch introduces a line of models to celebrate this huge anniversary and it`s premier model is US Custom Shop G6118T 130th Anniversary model. It is a hollow-bodied guitar with single cutaway design and set-in neck construction. It`s body is made of 3-ply maple. Back, sides and top are made of it. Both the back and top panels are arched. Top side of the body is decorated with multi-ply binding and black pickguard. Also, it features "f" holes. Bridge section on this model is equipped with a fixed bridge with wooden base in the front and a Bigsby vibrato tailpiece in the back. Active Filtertron pickups are installed in the front. Neck on this model is also made of maple and it`s equipped with set-in joint. It sports a standard contour in the back and a 22-fret fingerboard made of ebony on the top. Thumbnail inlays and 1-11/16 aluminum string nut complete the fingerboard. Gotoh tuners and 25-9/16" string nut complete the specs list.
