HJ500 dates back to 1969, when James D`Aquisto and Hagstrom joined forces for almost 10-year long cooperation. Their cooperation resulted in the Jazz archtop series. HJ500 is one of the shiniest examples of the Hagstrom Jazz series legacy. HJ500 comes with a single-cut body made entirely of laminated maple (Canadian maple) and a set-in (Canadian hard) maple neck. Arched top with elegant binding, two "f" holes and a wooden pickguard blend majestically into both the black and natural color schemes. 21-fret resinator fingerboard is fast, easy to play on and rocks a set of 21 medium jumbo frets. Hagstrom`s HJ-50 humbucking pickups offer a rich, full tone and amazing sustain. Wooden bridge (with a Hagstrom trapezoid tailpiece) and Hagstrom tuners keep the tuning and intonation spot-on.
