Hagstrom and Pat Smear have a long-lasting and fruitful collaboration for years, and now, for the NAMM 2013 it has been crowned with the introduction of Pat`s own signature Hagstrom guitar. It is , as Hagstrom claims, the same exact guitar as the one Pat plays on the stage. No corner cutting, no material or build quality cuts are made in the construction of the Pat Smear Signature. It comes with a solid, double-cutaway body made of mahogany base and carved maple cap. Pat`s signature guitar reminds a lot of the legendary SG, but it sports beefier body. Multi-ply binding and elevated pickguard decorate the top. Bridge section is a standard one, it features a chrome-plated tune-o-matic bridge and a covered stoptail bar. Pickups on this model are made by Hagstrom. Custom '58 is the name of these humbuckers. They`re active and feature separate volume and tone knobs. Mahogany neck is set and equipped witha standard contour in the back. It`s topped with a 22-fret resinator fingerboard. It features block inlays, 15" radius and 1.69" TUSQ nut.
