Club 50 is a semi-hollow electric guitar with Les Paul-like body and set in neck. The body of this model feature carved top, multi-ply binding around the top and a black plastic pickguard. As for materials used, Hofner has sided with traditional choice of spruce and maple. Maple is used for the back and sides, while the spruce is used for the top. Top is arched and finished in gloss. Bridge section of this model is a standard one. Hofner installs a fixed rosewood bridge with a trapezoid tailpiece in the back. This two-piece is used across the industry as sort of a default bridge option for jazz guitars. Two single-coil pickups are installed in front of the bridge. Set in maple neck is topped with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard.

Hi guys: I own a Hofner club 50 with chrome fuma pickups and rectangular control panel, which makes it a 1957 transition model. It has the original leather shoulder strap and it is in the original hard case. It is a great little guitar and I love to play it:-) Voody
