AFS85T is the flagship model of the AFS series of hollow-bodied jazz guitars made by Ibanez. This series offers a range of vintage-styled guitars with single-cut bodies and active electronics. AFS85T comes with a fully hollow body made of maple in it`s entirety. Ibanez usually pairs the bodies of their jazz guitars with set mahogany necks and AFS85T is no excuse to this rule. Mahogany adds just the right amount of warmth to the brightness and crisp of maple. Bridge section is an elaborate one, as it features a tune-o-matic bridge in the front with a Bigsby bar in the back. Active humbuckers have separate volume and tone knobs. Mahogany neck is equipped with the comfortable Artcore contour in the back and a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard on top.

I have this guitar since 2009 when they were discontinued. Although it is not my number one it is one of my favorites. I particularly use this to play T Bone Walker songs and it sound s great. I have never had any issues what so ever with it playing either acoustic or plugged in.
