GRG121EX is pretty much the same as the GRG121, with the difference being that the pickups are covered on this model. Pickups come in H/H configuration and they are controlled through a standard RG controls unit. Strong and reliable, these pickups won`t leave the player stranded, no matter what. Behind these pickups Ibanez installs a regular tight end bridge with string-through construction. When paired with Ibanez tuners on the headstock, this string-through bridge does a very good job on maintaining the tone stability and intonation. Body of this double-cut is made of basswood, it`s flat and equipped with no excessive decorations. Neck on this model is made of maple, it has a bolt-on joint and a standard GRG contour in the back. Rosewood fingerboard has 24 frets with dot inlays.

Compared to more expensive guitars I've played before, this thing is on par with guitars 5 times its value, the build quality on mine is amazing, the neck is a delight, the body is resonant and even the standard pickups are really good. I enjoy this guitar more than some of my more expensive ones and won't trade it for the world.
