RG series exists for over a quarter of a century now, and it is the most popular and most played series of electric guitars in metal circles. From beginners to professional artists, countless guitarists rip and shred on Ibanez RG axes. Over the years, RG has diversified into several sub-series and the top tier models wear the Prestige RG badge. Such a badge is also featured on RG2550Z, which comes with a solid, double cut body made of mahogany. There is no top wood cover, nor is there binding. Bridge section is equipped with an Ibanez Edge double locking tremolo system. H/S/H set of DiMarzio IBZ pickups is manipulated through a standard RG series set of controls. Neck is made of five pieces of maple and walnut and it`s topped with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard.
