Paul Stanley of Kiss was the first big name in Ibanez`s signature artist range, back in the 1970s. Back then, Mr. Stanley played the iconic Iceman guitars, Ibanez`s first successful original design. Today, Mr. Stanley`s Ibanez signature line consists exclusively of Iceman-shaped six-stringers. PS1DM is the latest and the most exclusive of them all. It is a limited edition model, with retail price around $7,999 (which keeps it far out of the reach of a working musician). The only available color option is Rhinestone (w/1,400 little rhinestone pieces across the top). Main construction features include a solid mahogany body, plain maple top, a 3-piece maple neck (set-in), a 22-fret ebony fingerboard, Gibraltar bridge (w/Quick Change tailpiece), Seymour Duncan pickups, and locking tuners.
