Ibanez RG1527M is one of the few RG models made with maple fingerboard, instead of the standard rosewood. Fingerboard on this model has standard dimensions, fret count and inlays. Scale length of RG1527 measures 25-1/2", which is also a standard measure for Ibanez RG guitars. Body is made of basswood, it`s solid, double-cut and flat on the top. this model does not feature binding, top wood covers or pickguard. Bridge section sports an Ibanez Edge tremolo system. It is a double locking bridge with a locking nut installed on the fingerboard. A pair of extended range humbuckers is installed on this seven-stringed axe. Neck is made of five pieces of maple and it`s equipped with wizard contour in the back. Fingerboard on top features 24 frets with black dot inlays.
