RG Prestige is the top flight of the RG league. It contains the best and finest RG models and offers the ultimate quality. Premium, Tremolo and Fixed sub-series are all located beneath this one. For the 2014, Ibanez is introducing several models into this exclusive line and RG655 is one of them. 655, on the first glance looks just like every other RG with a trem bridge and passive electronics. But, upon the closer inspection, subtle signs of class and quality reveal themselves. This six-stringed metal machine comes with a solid and double-cut basswood body with flat-top design and bolt-on neck joint. On it`s top, there is the classic Edge Zero tremolo bridge and a set of three Dimarzio pickups in H/S/H configuration. They are controlled through master volume, master tone and a five-position blade switch. Neck is made of five pieces of maple and walnut and is fit with the ultra fast Wizard contour in the back. On it`s top, there is the standard 24-fret fingerboard made of rosewood.
