RG655M is one of four RG models introduced into the Prestige range for 2015. All members of the quartet feature maple fingerboards with 24 frets. Also, all of them have bolted necks, classic RG design & construction, and passive DiMarzio pickups. RG655M is visually the closest to the regular RG division models. It rocks the classic pickguard, as well as the H/S/H pickups configuration. Solid and double-cut body of this Prestige six-string is made of basswood (another link to the standard RG series). It features the flat top, contoured back, contoured heel and super deep cutaways. This is the tested and tried recipe for the maximum playability and ergonomy. Cobalt Blue Metallic and Subterranean Purple Metallic color options are available for this model. Both are finished in gloss and both have matching headstocks. Edge Tremolo bridge is installed on the top, as is the black plastic pickguard. Pickups department is fit with a very versatile trio of passive DiMarzios. Tone Zone is in the bridge, Air Norton in the neck, while the single-coiled True Velvet is sandwiched in between them. One volume, one tone and a five-position blade switch make up the controls unit. Five-piece maple/walnut neck rocks the classic bolt-on joint, and a lightning fast Super Wizard profile. Maple fingerboard rocks the black dot inlays and jumbo-sized frets. Behind the 1.69" wide locking string nut, RG655M has six die-cast tuners with black plating and enclosed gears.
