Ibanez Iron Label was created to meet the needs and expectations of players who wanted more metal in their RG, S and Art guitars. Metal-oriented electronics, edgy design and top class construction set the Iron Label apart from competition. 2016 NAMM brings a ton of new Ibanez models and five Iron Label updates among them. These five are strategically placed throughout the range`s sub-series to cover as much ground as possible. RGIR20BFE is one them and the only RGIR model. It is a full-on metal machine with standard 25-1/2" scale minimalistic styling and top notch electronics and hardware. RGIR20BFE kicks off with a solid and double-cut RG body made of mahogany and a three-piece maple/bubinga neck. Nitro version of the famous Wizard neck profile is featured on this model. 24-fret rosewood fingerboard covers the neck (jumbo frets, 1.69" string nut, 15.75" radius). EMG`s 81 in the bridge and 60 in the neck position offer a rich, dynamic tone with classic EMG thickness and growl. Master volume, killswitch for strobe effect and three-position pickup switch comprise the controls. Second generation of Ibanez Gibraltar string-through bridge is installed behind the pickups. Walnut Flat is the only color scheme available.
