Ibanez is expanding their already huge guitar catalog with several more Iron Label models. This time, three novelties are being unveiled and RGIX20FEQM is one of them. This six-stringer features the mix of the classic RG styling and construction with Iron Label-styled electronics and attitude. While the RG models are primarily known for their Ibanez and DiMarzio passive pickups, this one comes with an EMG set of active humbuckers. EMG 81 and 60 are chosen for this task, as they make a dirtier and grittier combo than the classic 81/85. Master volume, master tone and a three-position pickup switch keep things simple and straightforward. This metal-oriented six-stringer also features gold-plated hardware, glossy finish and abalone binding around it`s stylish quilted maple top. Back of the body is made of basswood (tonewood inherited from the RG Fixed series). It`s flat on top and it`s paired with a three-piece maple bubinga neck with Nitro Wizard contour. Nitro Wizard is the next step in the Wizard shape evolution. On it`s top, there is a 24-fret fingerboard made of ebony. It features jumbo-sized frets, 1.69" string nut, 15-3/4" radius and side dot inlays.
