Ibanez Talman is a line of simple, vintage-styled guitars made in the vein of old school Fender design (Telecaster and Stratocaster elements dominate the landscape). Standard and Prestige tiers exist and TM1702 belongs to the distinguished Prestige tier. TM1702 starts off with a solid, flat-top body made of alder and a bolt-on maple neck with Talman profile in the back (all models in the new Talman series lineup have alder bodies and maple necks). Vintage-styled pickguard tops the body, while the standard 22-fret rosewood fingerboard (medium frets, 1.61" nut, 12" radius) covers the neck. Stellar Seymour Duncan`s Alnico II Pro passive/alnico single-coil pickups fill the bridge and neck spots (bridge pickup is slanted and encompassed by the bridge plate). IFX PRO (Tele) bridge and Gotoh tuners complete the specs list.

Great guitar, build to last forever! I changed out the pickups for DiMarzio's because the duncans where the only mistake Ibanez made for this guitar. Great sustain and the neck feels like nothing else. Between a Fender and a Gibson but more "feel" to it. As always the prestige of Ibanez is superior in quality and from the day I bought it it's my main guitar and bought a second one for backup. If you like tele or strat but can't decide what you want... get this!
