Ibanez Talman series features vintage-styled guitars, basses and acoustics. The offset single-cut body, which is the hallmark of Talman line, is deeply rooted in Californian school of guitar design, featuring flat top with a big plastic pickguard. Simplicity, modern/vintage tone, modern playability and high level of build quality characterize this series. At 2016 NAMM, Ibanez has introduced seven new models into the electric guitar segment of the Talman range and TM1702AHM is one of them. Standard 25-1/2" scale, passive electronics, vintage styling and modern hardware are main features of this Prestige class Talman. TM1702AHM`s body is made of ash and is paired with a modern maple neck with series-standard Talman profile. The two are connected through a four-bolt joint. 22-fret fingerboard made of maple sits on top of the neck. It`s equipped with a 1.625" nut, 12" radius and marked with black dot inlays. Electronics section boasts a pair of Seymour Duncan`s Alnico II Pro single-coils. They`re arranged in classic Telecaster fashion and have a classic Telecaster controls unit. Modern IFX-PRO bridge with string-through construction and die-cast tuners complete this rock`n`roller.

Great guitar, build to last forever! I changed out the pickups for DiMarzio's because the duncans where the only mistake Ibanez made for this guitar. Great sustain and the neck feels like nothing else. Between a Fender and a Gibson but more "feel" to it. As always the prestige of Ibanez is superior in quality and from the day I bought it it's my main guitar and bought a second one for backup. If you like tele or strat but can't decide what you want... get this!
