Mondial series is Italia Guitars` take on the classic LP concept. It mostly features semi-hollow guitars with beveled tops and slightly modified upper bouts. Mondial Sonoro is a crossbreed between a classic Mondial six-string and resonator guitar.
First off, Sonoro model has a chambered wooden body made of mahogany back and sides and soft maple top. Top is outfitted with a classic resonator cone made of metal and a plastic pickguard. The neck on this model is made of hard rock maple and it features a standard bolt-on joint. 21-fret rosewood fingerboard sits on its top.
Electronics unit on this model is a hybrid one - it features a piezo pickup in the bridge position and a conventional humbucker in the neck position. Biscuit bridge and Italia tuners complete the specs list.
