Christian Andreu of Gojira (Bayonne, south-western France) is the latest addition to the mighty Jackson signature family, along the legends like Adrian Smith, Marty Friedman, Scott Ian and David Ellefson. Christian`s initial signature line consists of two models, one USA Signature series model and one X series model. The X series version is made for amateur players who want to have a taste of Gojira`s sound, but can not afford the exclusive USA option. Just like its luxurious counterpart, Christian Andreu RRXT is available in Satin Black with beveled body edges and custom graphic in the neck pickup spot. Christian Andreu RRXT, like the most of the X series axes, rocks basswood/maple chassis. Basswood is used for body wings, with one-piece maple neck running in between them. The neck is equipped with a standard Speed profile in the back and a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard on top. Instead of the custom made Charvel pickups, Christians RRXT features a Duncan Designed HB-102 humbucker. There`s no neck pickup. 102 yields a fat, juicy tone, perfect for groove-driven riffs. String-through tune-o-matic bridge and Jackson die-cast tuners complete the specs list. The MSRP is set at $816.31.
