E-A-D-G-B-e tuning has been standard tuning for six-string guitars for over 150 years, but as the times change, so does the music. And the general trends in modern rock and metal music lean towards lowered and drop tunings. A point has been reached where six string guitars with regular 24-3/4" and 25-1/2" scales can no longer keep strings tight enough. Some models use baritone scales, while some resort to the use of the seventh string. DK27 is the only seven-string instrument in the Dinky series and it comes with a solid, double-cut body made of alder. It has a tune-o-matic bridge with string-through construction. EMG HZ passive humbuckers are featured in the front. Bolt-on maple neck is topped with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard.
