When the original Flying V came out in 1957, the world of electric guitars changed forever, as the V became the symbol of rebellion, freedom and rock`n`roll & metal music. Very few V-shaped models have ever reached near the status of the original cult Flying V. Only Jackson King V came close in the 1980s. Created for Robbin Crosby, popularized by Dave Mustaine and then embraced by legions of metalheads around the world, King V is now a deity in the electric guitar pantheon. At 2015 NAMM, Jackson has introduced only three new King V models (excluding the Demmelition signature), and the Pro King V KV is the top option. It comes with a beveled body made of alder wings and maple neck in the middle. On its top, Jackson installs a 1000 series Floyd Rose bridge, as well as a pair of Seymour Duncan Distortion Mayhem humbuckers. The two Duncan hell hounds are controlled through a master volume, master tone and a three-way toggle pickup switch. Maple neck rocks the fast and sleek profile in the back, and a 24-fret ebony fingerboard on the top. Mandatory shark fin inlays, jumbo-sized frets and the locking nut are also featured on the fingerboard. Die-cast tuning machines on the classic downward pointing headstock wrap the list of main features.
